ST MARTIN / ST MAARTEN

St Martin from the ship

We docked at Philipsburg, St Maarten in the Dutch territory. We decided to take a taxi to the French side at the north of the island and spend an hour or two aboard a craft with sub water viewing. As the Queen was visiting the Dutch side today, we came straight back to Philipsburg town which we explored before taking a water taxi back to the ship.

Viewing the reef

The beach from where we boarded the boat to explore the reef looked colourful with recliners by the shoreline.

From the town we looked across the harbour to see the cruise liners.

Philipsburg view of the port

From the water taxi we had a good view of a line up of liners.

Also from the water taxi we had a good view of the town of Philipsburg.

Finally, the ships all sailed into the sunset!
